Don Q

- dance play in one act -

The dramatic dance show has been made for and performed by Botafogo Dance ensemble is based on Hispanic-Latin dance motifs and partly on such kind of music. Consequently the story of the play is certainly of Spanish according to the style of the dance company.

Cervantes's magnificent novel made possible the new dance show of the ensemble on stage, through which the audience can answer one of the biggest questions of our life whether it is worth fighting for a better world or just let us be damned by sins.

The unusual and inhuman battle is on. The sacrifice is becoming tired is collapsing when the Q dressed in white is popping up out of blue.
The White clad stranger is shielding the broken-hearted sacrifice. He is warding off the attacks by his own body but surprisingly the trembling, wounded sacrifice pushes aside his protector by his last power. As a suicide he steps right in front of the Toreador to make happen 'the moment of truth'.
The Sacrifice collapses as usual in life...
